This includes our plans to carry out further  archaeological investigations into what we believe may be the buried remains of Tello’s bark, the small Spanish ship that Drake captured off Costa Rica and then left behind at Whale Cove, along with a crew of about 25. They were to winter on the Oregon Coast and then try early the next year to return to England through the fabled North West Passage. We think they did not survive that winter, and we are hoping to prove that by eventually recovering identifiable pieces of the cargo.
